Five reasons why you should move to Hampton Roads

You can do far and wide along the nation's highways, but eventually you will have to admit that no other state on the east coast offers such a diversity of culture and environment as Virginia. From the majestic mountains of the Appalachian Trail to the gentle coastline on the Atlantic Ocean cut off, Virginia has many natural resources and opportunities for prosperity. It can be crowded to read about it, but the Hampton Roads area covers much of coastal Virginia and attracts thousands of visitors. Many, are here to stay tried and it is no wonder why. Here are ten reasons why you come and stay, should we.

1) Cultural diversity

Hampton Roads is a true melting pot spilling into the Chesapeake Bay. Thanks to a strong military and government presence, the people of all ethnic groups, call the Tidewater area home. Residents in the northern part of the region is noted, a large population of Mennonites, while descendants of the tribe gathered in Nansemond the locality.

Such mixing of cultures is evident in annual festivals held in Norfolk: The Azalea Festival as a tribute to all the nations in the region represented, and the Afram Festival celebrates African American heritage of the region. Annual festivals, regular markets and seminars enable everyone to absorb and appreciate the diversity of people in Hampton Roads.

2) Rich in History

It is no secret that Virginia is the headquarters of American history, more than any U.S. president fathered the state. It is located on the shores of present-day Virginia Beach, where our forefathers landed, and it is in Norfolk, where the power of General MacArthur laid to rest. Deep in the bay, the beach is separated from Newport News, where the famous battle of Monitor and Merrimac instead. A history enthusiast senses are being overloaded guarantees here.

Summer offers more possibilities for fun with Water Country USA in Williamsburg and Ocean Breeze Waterpark in Virginia Beach.

For a slower but not necessarily a boring, families can use various attractions throughout the year, including the newly renovated Virginia Zoo, the Norfolk Botanical Gardens, President's Park in Williamsburg, and of course the famous Virginia Beach Ocean Front. 4) Great Outdoors

Keep in Hampton Roads is all beach? Think again! True, while it attracts the Oceanfront, with its endless sandy beach and the sea, tourists and new residents alike, Hampton Roads offers more for the Child of nature in terms of activity. The southeastern part of Virginia is one of the healthiest regions of the state, and it is easy to see why.

First Landing State Park Virginia Beach is a paradise for runners, mountain bikers, hikers and nature. Waller Mill Park is Williamsburg for the extreme biker, a rough Terrain and never-ending excitement enjoys available.

Nature lovers can enjoy leisurely walks at Sandy Bottom Nature Park in Hampton and False Cape State Park beach, both beautiful flora and fauna known. And if you enjoy your long walks between shots of golf, Hampton Roads has many courses, including the Tournament Players Club at the Beach and Golden Horseshoe in Williamsburg.

5) Growing Economy

Business is booming and has literally in Hampton Roads to grow many opportunities for small businesses and larger companies take in more employers. A strong military presence will help strengthen regional economy, while companies you'll find many attractive properties in the Tidewater region. The proximity to Washington, DC, easy transit access, and a growing business in the city Pembroke section of Virginia Beach indicate a prosperous future for Hampton Roads.

Hampton Roads is a region of culture and comfort residents fun and opportunity on land and at sea. Combined with moderate weather all year round, friendly locals, and it should be that it as no place like home in Hampton Roads.
