Rowing Finish

why do i get a giant loop everytime i finish my first row of knitting (trying to make scarf)?

I first cast on 25x
and then the first 24 goes smoothly, but the 25th ends off in a giant loop

It’s because working across the row moves any looseness forward to the last stitch. Two remedies: 1. Cast on tighter. 2. Ignore the giant loop’s size, turn and knit the second row. Eventually, your tension will even out and the loop will shrink in size.
