Sculling Rowing Technique

The boat requires more technical skill?
I sculled throughout high school and I completed my college club team and am now based in the novice fourth stroke I wonder if it takes more skill to row in a 4 or 8? I have never been swept before, so I have no idea. Many of my experience is in single (my best race) doubles and quads so I understand a lot about technology, I think. I'm done even stroke seat for this reason, although I have never sweep rowing?
4's are unstable. The smaller the boat, the harder setting.
